Gyeongbok University 'Professor Admissions Officer' Emerges... Various Activities Including Admission Counseling

[Asia Economy (Namyangju) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Kyungbok University will operate 'Professor Admission Officers' starting this month.

Professor Admission Officers are admissions counseling experts responsible for developing admission screening processes, seeking directions for establishing university admission policies, providing admission consultations and department guidance at admission briefings, and securing admission resources through organic cooperation between universities and high schools for information exchange.

Kyungbok University announced on the 18th that it held the '2022 Professor Admission Officer Appointment Ceremony' on the 16th at the Udangwan International Conference Room on the Namyangju Campus in Gyeonggi Province, hosted by the Admissions Promotion Office.

Going forward, Professor Admission Officers will visit frontline high schools to offer university major experience programs and career special lectures to students, providing examinees with broader opportunities for university admission choices.

They will also participate in admission counseling programs at the Admission Officer Conference on the 20th, high school visit admission briefings in June, and the Early Admission Information Fair in September.

Kim Kyung-bok, Acting President of Kyungbok University, emphasized, "In the difficult situation where admission resources are rapidly decreasing recently, we expect the Admission Officers to contribute greatly to recruiting outstanding talents with a strong sense of mission," adding, "The university will also spare no effort to actively support the activities of the Admission Officers."
