Support of 22 million KRW provided to 22 people, 11 in each of the two categories

[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Doosan Yeon-gang Foundation announced on the 18th that it has signed a business agreement with the Korea Youth Soccer Association and the Korea Little Baseball Federation to select scholarship students who are aspiring athletes in sports.
The foundation plans to provide a total of 22 million won in scholarships to 22 selected scholarship students, 11 recommended by each association and federation. Since 2008, the foundation has supported scholarships to 134 aspiring athletes selected through recommendations from the Korean Sports Council, the Triathlon Association, and others for the development of domestic sports.
A foundation official said, "The selection project for aspiring athlete scholarship students is a continuation of the scholarship projects that the foundation has been steadily conducting," adding, "We hope it will be of some help to the athletes in balancing sports and academics."
