HDC Hyundai Development Company announced on the 18th that it has developed a 'Smart Parking Solution' in collaboration with HDC Labs and has been applying it to newly sold IPARK complexes since the second half of last year.
The smart parking solution jointly developed by HDC Hyundai Development Company and HDC Labs is a system that uses CCTV video analysis technology to track the location of moving vehicles and automatically confirm their final position. It addresses the limitations of existing parking location recognition systems, which require manual registration of the parking location near the parked vehicle using a smartphone or smart key.
In complexes where the smart parking solution is applied, AI-based intelligent CCTV video analysis technology notifies residents in advance of available parking spaces within the complex parking lot through their smartphone screens and voice, helping them park safely and quickly. The parked location is automatically registered and can be checked via the household wall pad or smartphone when going out.
Additionally, the tracking system enables real-time monitoring of vehicle movement paths within the parking lot, as well as the status of parking or stopping in electric vehicle, disabled, compact car parking zones, and passageways, allowing easy identification of the offending vehicle in case of incidents such as contact accidents.
Seodongjun, manager of the electrical team at HDC Hyundai Development Company who participated in the development of the smart parking solution, said, "This smart parking solution was planned to minimize inconveniences residents may feel in the limited space of underground parking lots by utilizing smart ICT convergence technology, enhancing convenience and satisfaction." He added, "We plan to expand customized space services in the future."
