On the afternoon of the 17th, a showcase celebrating the release of Lee Soo-young's tenth full album, 'SORY (Sori),' was held at the Gureumarae Small Theater in Mapo-gu, Seoul. The event was hosted by Lee Soo-young's close friend, MC Park Kyung-lim.
When Lee Soo-young took the stage, she appeared overwhelmed with emotion. In response, Park Kyung-lim cleverly comforted her, saying, "There are so many sad things in this world."
Lee Soo-young described her new full album 'SORY,' released 13 years after her ninth album 'DAZZLE' in 2009, as "'Sorry'?the feeling of apology to those who have waited for a long time?expressed through 'Voice' and unfolded as a 'Story.'"
That day, Lee Soo-young tearfully expressed gratitude to everyone who waited for her and was at a loss for words while greeting them. She said, "Thank you for coming. I appreciate your interest."
This new release by Lee Soo-young is special. She made a comeback as a singer after going through turbulent life challenges. Previously, Lee Soo-young appeared on KBS Joy's 'National Receipt' in October last year and surprised many by saying, "I was heavily scammed at 30. I lost all the money I earned in my 20s during my 30s and even went into debt."

Lee Soo-young candidly shared that she has been receiving treatment for depression, panic, and obsessive-compulsive disorder for eight years, saying, "After being scammed, I have been regularly visiting the hospital." She also advised those hesitant about hospital treatment, saying, "When panic attacks occur, it is very painful. You just have to go."
She said, "I did my best, but the circumstances were not favorable. Since meeting this company five years ago, I have been putting aside a portion of all my money into savings. There were times when it was zero, but I steadily saved, and when the production costs were covered by the savings, I started preparing gradually three years ago. I didn’t want to be in debt. Having lived a life with a lot of debt, I endured by continuing my activities steadily. While releasing this album, I broke three savings accounts. Singing is happiness to me. It lets me breathe," which moved those watching deeply.
Finally, regarding her activity plans, Lee Soo-young said, "I really want to hold a concert. I wanted to but couldn’t because of COVID-19, but now that the new album is out, I really want to hold a concert. Also, I printed 1,000 copies of this album, and worried it might not sell, so I bought a few myself. The programs I want to appear on are 'Hangout with Yoo,' 'Nolto,' and 'You Quiz.' I plan to be very active this year, so I hope to see you often."
Meanwhile, Lee Soo-young’s new full album 'SORY,' released after 13 years, was launched at 6 p.m. that day.
