Tmon Raises Monthly Salaries Like 'Leveling Up' in Games... Creating a New Corporate Culture

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] Starting from the second half of this year, TMON employees will be able to experience a monthly salary increase. A new HR system, tentatively called the 'Gamification Level System,' will be implemented, where gaining experience points and leveling up will immediately lead to a salary raise.

On the 18th, TMON announced that it will introduce an HR system based on individual performance levels within the company starting in July. With this gamified level system, employees can 'level up' every month, and their salaries will be increased accordingly. This breaks away from the conventional annual evaluation and salary contract and reward framework. It was designed as part of the new working culture entering the second half of the year, called 'TSR (TMON Smart & Remote work).'

Jang Yoon-seok, CEO of TMON, stated, "We judged that creating a completely new system is important to build a corporate culture that enhances employees' execution capabilities and allows them to maximize creativity and productivity. Along with the full-scale introduction of TSR, we are striving to become a company that can lead E-commerce 3.0 centered on 'brand fulfillment.'"

The Gamification Level System includes experience points required to level up. Like in a game, experience points are earned through various channels such as performance, contribution, missions, and events. When the required experience points for each level segment are met, an individual's level automatically increases at a specific point each month, and the linked salary is immediately raised. Additional gamification elements are applied, such as allowing individuals to directly check their experience points and level-up progress in their personal status window.

Meanwhile, the planned office relocation this summer, the establishment of base offices and shared offices, and other new work styles are also part of fostering the TSR culture. The 'workation' that TMON employees have been taking since May to places like Jeju, Busan, and Namhae is also one of these new initiatives.
