Release of 18 New Products
LG Electronics is strengthening its 「LG DIOS Objet Collection Refrigerator」 lineup equipped with the circular ice 'Craft Ice' feature that provides a differentiated customer experience. These models introduce Craft Ice, allowing users to properly enjoy beverages such as cocktails and iced coffee at home, just like in hotel lounges or cafes.
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jin-ho] LG Electronics is significantly expanding its lineup of 'LG DIOS Objet Collection Refrigerators' equipped with the differentiated customer experience feature of round ice called ‘Craft Ice’.
LG Electronics announced that it will sequentially launch 18 new models of the 2022 DIOS Objet Collection refrigerators starting from the 19th. The Craft Ice feature, which gained great popularity when introduced in the LG DIOS Objet Collection ice water purifier refrigerators in April last year, has now been expanded to models without water purifiers.
Craft Ice is a premium round ice with a diameter of about 50 millimeters (mm). Because it is large and melts slowly, it enhances the flavor of drinks such as cocktails, whiskey, grapefruit ade, and iced coffee, allowing customers to enjoy cool beverages at home just like in a hotel lounge or caf?.
Despite being the top-tier model among the Objet Collection refrigerators, the LG DIOS Objet Collection ice water purifier refrigerator accounted for 90% of LG Electronics’ ice water purifier refrigerator sales last month, demonstrating its popularity.
The new models feature a newly applied ‘Fresh Plus Tray’ that is transparent and detachable, enabling customers to separate and store food more conveniently. When attached under the refrigerator shelf or above the vegetable compartment, it increases space utilization and helps prevent food from getting crushed by allowing vegetables and fruits to be stored without stacking. It can also be placed on shelves and used as a sauce storage container.
LG Electronics also added a mirror glass design on the upper right door of the new models, which can also be used as a mirror. Equipped with Knock-On Magic Space, customers can conveniently check the interior without opening the refrigerator door by knocking twice on the door.
LG Electronics added new colors to the LG Objet Collection, a space interior appliance line, including Clay Mint, Clay Pink, Cream Sky, and Cream White. These colors were created in collaboration with the world-renowned Pantone Color Institute in the United States, providing emotional stability and comfort.
The new models are UP appliances that can add new functions through continuous upgrades. Customers can finely adjust the refrigerator’s internal lighting via the LG ThinQ app to comfortably check inside the refrigerator without glare even in the middle of the night.
The differentiated advantages of existing models are also retained, such as the ‘24-hour automatic temperature control technology’ that maintains the refrigerator temperature within ±0.5 degrees Celsius, and ‘UV Safe Sterilization+’ which applies ultraviolet rays and photocatalyst filters for excellent sterilization and deodorization.
The capacity of the new models ranges from 604 to 875 liters (L). Prices vary from 2.85 million to 6.05 million KRW based on capacity and feature configuration.
Lee Hyun-wook, Executive Vice President and Head of the Kitchen Appliance Business Division at the H&A Business Headquarters, said, “We will provide a different level of customer experience by leading with the DIOS Objet Collection refrigerator that combines unparalleled technology with space interior design.”
