From June, Btv Will Offer Senior Smartphone Education Content 'Eodina 5-Minute Class'

'Smartphone Education on TV' Seoul Digital Foundation Partners with SK Broadband for Content Agreement


[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] From now on, elderly people will be able to receive smartphone education at home through their TV.


On the 18th, the Seoul Digital Foundation announced that it signed a content business agreement with SK Broadband on the 17th to address the digital divide issue among the elderly.


Through this business agreement, the senior education content "Eodina 5-minute Class" provided by the Seoul Digital Foundation will be available for free starting in June on SK Broadband's Btv senior-exclusive channel "Happy Senior." The educational content consists of 32 episodes under the theme of smartphone usage tips for the elderly, covering practical topics such as how to save on data charges, how to enlarge smartphone text, and how to create videos from photos.


Both organizations promised to mutually cooperate to expand and distribute senior education content so that more elderly people can enjoy convenient digital lives.


Additionally, through continuous consultations, they agreed to discover more digital education content for the elderly and collaborate on various inclusive projects aimed at bridging the digital divide.


Kang Yo-sik, Chairman of the Seoul Digital Foundation, said, “With the public-private cooperation utilizing senior education content to bridge the digital divide, elderly people can now enjoy easier and more convenient digital lives,” adding, “We will continue to expand public-private cooperation to eliminate the digital divide among citizens.”
