To respond promptly to various election-related incidents and accidents, the agency announced that election security situation rooms will be set up at the provincial police agency and 23 police stations within the province.
From the start of election campaigning on the 19th until 6 a.m. on election day, a heightened alert will be issued, with all police officers maintaining an emergency communication system, and commanders and staff officers positioned in the command line.
From 6 a.m. on the early voting day, the 27th of this month, until the completion of ballot box transport on the 28th, the alert level will be further raised, with commanders and staff officers stationed at their designated posts within their jurisdiction.
From 6 a.m. on election day until the completion of vote counting, the highest alert level, Gapho emergency, will be declared, suspending all police officers' leave to ensure full deployment of available police forces, and commanders and staff officers will be stationed either in offices or on-site for continuous duty.
Protection activities for major figures such as party representatives will be strengthened, along with 112 patrols of ballot printing facilities, storage sites, and 948 polling stations.
During the transport of ballot boxes, two armed police officers will be assigned per route, and 30 police officers will be deployed on-site at 22 counting centers within the province to prepare for any unforeseen situations.
