[Asia Economy Reporter Yoon Seul-gi] Former President Moon Jae-in, who returned to Pyeongsan Village in Habuk-myeon, Yangsan, Gyeongnam after his retirement, shared an update on his recent life.


On the 17th, four photos capturing former President Moon's daily life were posted on his social media accounts such as Facebook and Twitter under the name "Pyeongsan Village Secretariat."


The secretariat said, "(It has been) one week since former President Moon returned home," adding, "He has spent most of his time organizing his study. Every morning, he takes a walk with his dogs Maru, Gomi, Songgang, Daun, and Tori, and at sunset, he never forgets to water the trees."

In the photos, former President Moon is seen barefoot with slippers, crouching in front of a bookshelf reading a book, feeding his dogs, and walking with them.


Just two days after his retirement, former President Moon has continued communicating with the public by sharing his daily life on social media. On the 12th, he posted, "My first outing after returning home," stating, "I paid respects at my father’s and mother’s graves and also visited Tongdosa Temple." He added, "The house is not yet fully organized, and the five dogs and one cat are still settling in, but I am doing well."


The "Pyeongsan Village Secretariat" also announced via former President Moon’s social media that, in addition to posts written by him, they will occasionally share updates about his daily life. The secretariat released photos of former President Moon paying respects at his parents’ graves during his first outing and visiting Tongdosa Temple, where he took pictures with Seongpa, the Supreme Patriarch of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism.
