Comprehensive Dementia Prevention Management and Full Effort in Early Dementia Screening and Detection

[Jindo=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-kyung] Jindo County will operate the Imhoe Branch of the Dementia Safety Center within the Imhoe Health Subcenter after remodeling.

The center will provide services such as dementia screening tests, dementia family education, and dementia awareness improvement to enhance accessibility and convenience for residents of Imhoe-myeon and Jisan-myeon, and to promote the health of local residents.

Dementia screening tests are available to all local residents aged 60 and over, allowing a simple check for cognitive decline within 10 minutes.

Additionally, the Imhoe Branch of the Dementia Safety Center plans to operate various programs for local residents in collaboration with the Jindo County Health Center Dementia Safety Center, including early dementia screening, dementia prevention classes, customized case management, and health management projects.

A representative from the Jindo County Health Center stated, “We are working hard to ensure that elderly people who have difficulty moving can conveniently use the nearby Imhoe Branch,” and added, “We will strive to help the elderly detect and manage dementia early so they can enjoy a healthy old age and a happy life.”

Meanwhile, dementia screening is recommended once a year for brain health, and inquiries related to dementia prevention can be made to the Dementia Management Team at the Jindo County Health Center.
