[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, held a kickoff meeting for the service agency and a TF team operation meeting on the 17th to establish the "5th Community Social Security Plan," which will serve as the blueprint for welfare administration for four years from next year to 2026.

On this day, 25 stakeholders including members of the Community Social Security Council, public officials, local welfare experts, and the service agency 21st Century Industrial Research Institute attended.

They shared analysis data results on the local needs survey and received explanations from the service agency about the direction and plan for establishing the community social security plan, along with gathering opinions from the TF team members.

The Community Social Security Plan is a four-year plan established in consideration of residents' needs and local welfare resources in ten major security areas such as health, welfare, education, housing, and employment, according to the "Act on the Use and Provision of Social Security Benefits and the Discovery of Beneficiaries."

Shin Dong-beom, head of the Welfare Policy Division and leader of the TF team, said, "The 5th plan will be an opportunity to draw a blueprint for future county welfare," and urged, "TF team members must play an important role to reflect the interests and needs of the residents," encouraging active participation.

The period for establishing the 5th plan is until the end of September, and after deliberation by the county Community Social Security Council and reporting to the county council, it will be reported to the Ministry of Health and Welfare through Gyeongnam Province and finalized by the end of December.
