[Namwon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeong Young-kwon] Namwon City, Jeonbuk, announced on the 17th that it is recruiting students for the 'Namwon City Social Enterprise Transition Academy' until the 27th to expand the base of the social economy and discover preliminary social enterprises.
This academy will open on the 3rd of next month and will be held a total of three times for small and medium-sized enterprises in the area, aspiring entrepreneurs, cooperatives, and citizens interested in social enterprises.
The training location is the 2nd-floor training room of the Namwon City Community Support Center, and participation is completely free of charge.
Social enterprises are a hybrid form between non-profit organizations and for-profit companies, providing sustainable jobs and social services to vulnerable groups through management aimed at solving local community problems, thereby improving residents' quality of life and coexisting with the region as good companies.
On the first day of the Social Enterprise Transition Academy, the 3rd of next month, the basics of the meaning and vision of the social economy will be established, and on the 8th, there will be a detailed explanation of the (preliminary) social enterprise promotion policies and support systems.
On the 10th of next month, representatives of certified social enterprises will provide education focusing on cases from preliminary entrepreneurship education to management status and social value contribution activities.
The number of recruits is about 20 on a first-come, first-served basis, and applications can be submitted via the Namwon City website, email, visit, or phone.
