NH-Amundi Asset Management, CEO Park Hak-joo Practices ESG Management... Volunteer Work at Rose Farm

[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] NH-Amundi Asset Management employees visited a rose flower farm in Gyeonggi-do as part of their ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management efforts to assist with farm labor.

On the 17th, NH-Amundi Asset Management announced that CEO Park Hak-joo and employees participated in activities such as picking flower buds, trimming flower stalks, cleaning the environment, and cutting grass along farm roads at a rose farm struggling to find labor due to the aging rural population and prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.

This volunteer activity at the rose farm was joined by Oh Young-seok, head of the Nonghyup Goyang City branch; Hyun Seo-dong, head of the Agricultural Policy Support Team at Nonghyup Goyang City branch; Kang Hyo-hee, chairman of the Wondang Nonghyup; Kang Sung-hae, chairman of the Korea Flower Farmers' Cooperative; and Jung Soo-young, CEO of Sujangmi Farm.

Park Hak-joo, CEO of NH-Amundi Asset Management, said, "We hope our small help will support the farms during these difficult times due to COVID-19, and we plan to continue volunteer activities to assist farms in the future."

Meanwhile, NH-Amundi Asset Management has been carrying out various social contribution activities to fulfill Nonghyup's public role. Every year, they assist with farm labor during busy seasons and purchase agricultural products. This year, they plan to lead social value practices as a domestic ESG-leading asset manager by strengthening eco-friendly, low-carbon-oriented investments.
