[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] On the 17th, Osstem Implant announced that it was selected as a 'Company Contributing to National Development' by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy in celebration of 'Commerce and Industry Day.'
Osstem Implant was recognized this year in the 'Overseas and Korean Businesspeople' category for the achievements of its Guangdong branch in China. The Guangdong branch was highly evaluated for contributing to national industrial development through export market diversification and enhancing national prestige, as well as for its efforts to promote the development and welfare of the Chinese-Korean community.
A representative of the Guangdong branch stated, “Despite the difficulties in local business activities due to the recent spread of Omicron, the government acknowledged the achievements we have made so far,” and added, “Taking this award as an opportunity, all employees of the Guangdong branch will work harder to carry out aggressive sales activities.”
Last year, sales in China accounted for about 31% of Osstem Implant's overseas sales. Osstem Implant operates three sales corporations and one production corporation in China.
Sales of Osstem Implant's Chinese sales corporations increased by 55% compared to the previous year. Osstem Implant plans to operate 117 branches throughout China and aims to expand to 243 sales branches and about 1,100 sales staff by 2026 to solidify its position as the number one in China.
