Daewoong-HD Junction Targets Southeast Asian Digital Healthcare Market

Company Launching 'TrueDoc' and 'TrueDoc Mental'

[Asia Economy Reporter Chunhee Lee] Daewoong Pharmaceutical is partnering with digital healthcare company HD Junction to enter the Southeast Asian digital healthcare market.

Daewoong Pharmaceutical and HD Junction announced on the 17th that they held a business agreement ceremony for Southeast Asian market entry on the 12th at HD Junction's headquarters in Seocho-gu, Seoul. Through this agreement, Daewoong Pharmaceutical plans to enter the Southeast Asian digital healthcare market using HD Junction's cloud-based Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.

Daewoong Pharmaceutical will expand its business by building local business models in Southeast Asia utilizing its existing global infrastructure, while HD Junction will support business expansion through market analysis and data using its cloud EMR technology.

EMR is a medical information system that digitizes medical information generated in hospitals. It offers benefits such as faster hospital operations, reduced manpower and costs, and shortened patient waiting times. Especially when operated on a cloud-based system, EMR provides advantages over traditional locally installed systems, including secure data management, automatic backups, and real-time updates of drug prices and fees. It also has scalability to integrate with various healthcare services such as biometric signals and medical device connections.

HD Junction, established in 2017, is a digital healthcare company specializing in providing various healthcare IT services and platform development. In March, it launched the cloud EMR platform ‘TrueDoc’ and introduced ‘TrueDoc Mental,’ specialized for psychiatry.
