Sancheong World Traditional Medicine Anti-Aging Expo Organizing Committee Appoints Park Jeongjun as Secretary-General

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The Organizing Committee of the 2023 Sancheong World Traditional Medicine Anti-Aging Expo in Gyeongnam appointed Park Jeong-jun, former Director of the Western Region Development Bureau of Gyeongnam Province, as the Secretary-General of the Organizing Committee on the 16th.

The Secretary-General, who oversees the overall operations of the Organizing Committee, is a full-time position equivalent to Grade 3 with a fixed term lasting until December 31 of next year.

The Organizing Committee conducted an open recruitment through a job announcement in March, and after document screening and interviews, appointed Secretary-General Park from among six applicants.

Secretary-General Park, who entered public service in 1981, is an administrative expert who has held various positions including Director of the Public Relations Division, Director of the Tourism Promotion Division, Director of the Western Region Development Bureau, and Deputy Governor of Sancheong County, and is expected to be the right person to lead the successful hosting of the Expo.

Acting Governor Ha Byeong-pil urged at the appointment ceremony, "Please work even harder so that the Expo can become a turning point leading the anti-aging industry of Gyeongnam along with balanced development of Western Gyeongnam."

Secretary-General Park expressed his ambition, saying, "Based on 40 years of administrative experience and personal networks accumulated in public service, I will do my best to successfully lead the Expo."

The 2023 Sancheong World Traditional Medicine Anti-Aging Expo is a government-approved international event jointly hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, Gyeongnam Province, and Sancheong County. Under the theme "Promise of the Future, Traditional Medicine in the World," it will be held for 35 days from September 15 to October 19, 2023, at the Sancheong Donguibogam Village and the Oriental Medical Cluster area.
