Seo Nowon, Former Longest-Serving (6 Years) Deputy Mayor of Yangcheon-gu, Seoul City University Visiting Professor, Kim Sooyoung, Yangcheon-gu Mayor, Draws Blueprint for Third Term Administration
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Seo Nowon, the longest-serving former deputy mayor of Yangcheon-gu, will take charge of policy coordination for Kim Sooyoung, the candidate for mayor of Yangcheon-gu.
On the 15th, Kim Sooyoung's Yangcheon-gu mayoral campaign announced the sudden recruitment of Seo Nowon, former deputy mayor of Yangcheon-gu (currently a visiting professor at the University of Seoul), as the head of the policy headquarters to support the realization of major pledges.
Seo Nowon, a 32nd pass of the Administrative Examination, has served as the Seoul Metropolitan Government's Sangam DMC Officer, Magok Project Promotion Team Leader, and Head of the Seoul Regional Development Headquarters, and is recognized as an expert in urban development who has been in charge of major urban development projects in Seoul.
In particular, he is evaluated as having a high understanding of the current issues and long-standing projects of Yangcheon-gu, having served as the longest-serving (6 years) deputy mayor of Yangcheon-gu.
Director Seo emphasized, "Candidate Kim Sooyoung is a competent mayor who stabilized the chaotic district administration and initiated the stalled regional development," adding, "He is the right person to complete long-standing projects such as redevelopment, reconstruction, and transportation network expansion, realizing Yangcheon's future leap forward." He further explained the reason for accepting the position as head of the headquarters, saying, "I will leverage my on-site experience of successfully executing large-scale urban development in Seoul and the know-how gained from managing Yangcheon-gu's administration for six years to help candidate Kim Sooyoung complete uninterrupted development of Yangcheon."
