Planned Acquisition of Major-Related Certifications and Preparation of Short Thesis

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] Sejong University’s Center for Integrated Extracurricular Support is operating the Major Deepening Community program for advanced major activities.

On the 14th, Sejong University announced that the Major Deepening Community program will be operated starting from the 16th. The Major Deepening Community is a cooperative learning program that supports students of the same major forming teams to engage in in-depth learning to enhance their major competencies. The activity period is from the 16th to the 1st of next month.

Participants must conduct major deepening learning related to the activity theme for at least 6 sessions (12 hours). Activity themes include preparing for on- and off-campus contests and competitions related to the major, obtaining major-related certifications, practical research and development of major knowledge, and writing short papers.

During the activity period, participating teams must carry out learning activities along with weekly learning reports, final reports, and production of activity videos.

Outstanding teams will receive scholarship awards and activity support funds ranging from 50,000 to 100,000 KRW per person. Upon completion of the activities, participants will be awarded a certificate of completion signed by the Director of the Creative Education Development Institute, along with 200 points of extracurricular mileage.
