[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] Changwon City, Gyeongnam Province, will start accepting applications for COVID-19 living support funds through the Government24 website or mobile app from the 13th.

The city announced that it will accept online applications for living support funds provided to those who were isolated or hospitalized due to confirmed COVID-19 infection.

For the convenience of citizens, the city said it will operate the online application method alongside the existing method of visiting the administrative welfare centers in the resident's town, township, or neighborhood.

Online applications are available for confirmed cases who were released from isolation after May 13, 2022.

Workers must attach proof documents such as a certificate confirming unpaid leave was not provided during the isolation period; however, isolation notices do not require separate document attachments due to linkage with the COVID-19 system.

Citizens who received hospitalization or isolation notices due to COVID-19 infection can apply for living support funds within 3 months after being released from isolation.

If there is one isolated person in the household, 100,000 KRW is provided; if two or more, 150,000 KRW is provided.

Employees of institutions or schools receiving financial support from public institutions, national or local governments, those who received paid leave, overseas entrants under quarantine, and those who violated isolation or quarantine rules are not eligible for support.

Lee Seonhee, Director of the Welfare, Women, and Health Bureau, said, “We hope this will alleviate the inconvenience of citizens struggling due to COVID-19.”
