On the 11th, the Emergency Response Committee decided in a morning meeting to cancel the nomination of the Jeonnam Gangjin County Governor candidate amid allegations of bribery and decided not to field a candidate.

According to the committee's decision, the Gangjin County Governor election is expected to form an independent candidate competition structure, including candidates Gang Jin-won, Lee Seung-ok, Seo Chae-won, and Oh Byung-seok, who participated in the Democratic Party primary.

The committee confirmed the preliminary candidate nomination for Park Woo-ryang, the former Shin-an County Governor candidate in Jeonnam, who was sentenced to prison in the first trial for preferential treatment in hiring fixed-term public officials.

Meanwhile, candidate Gang Jin-won denied the allegations, stating that although circumstances suggesting bribery were detected when he visited a restaurant in the Gangjin area, the matter is unrelated to him, and he announced that he will take strong legal action.
