On the 11th, the county installed 2,865 petunia railing flower pots along the Gochangcheon Stream, as well as at Wolgokgyo Bridge, Gochang Bridge, and Gochang IC.
The petunias along the stream path have been delivering heartwarming beauty to citizens taking nighttime walks since 2009, harmonizing with the lights of nearby shops.
The railing flower pots are equipped with timer-based automatic watering systems that enable efficient irrigation and frequent water supply.
This makes it easier to manage the growth of Wave petunias, allowing them to maintain their best condition for a long time.
Wave petunias have good branching and a long blooming period, providing a great sight for citizens and tourists seeking beauty from this month until November, before the first frost.
A county official said, “We recommend that while walking along the Gochang stream, people take a moment to feel small daily happiness with the pretty flowers, and that citizens exhausted mentally and physically due to COVID-19 regain vitality and peace of mind.”
