The 18th Suncheon City Community Sports Festival Successfully Concluded

Revitalizing Community Sports Activities Diminished by COVID-19

[Suncheon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon City announced on the 9th that it successfully held the 18th Suncheon City Sports for All Festival over two days from the 7th to the 8th.

On the morning of the 7th, starting with the opening ceremony at Palma Sports Complex, about 2,800 sports enthusiasts participated in a total of 23 events including billiards, soccer, bowling, and badminton, competing at Palma Gymnasium and various event venues.

This event revitalized the sports-for-all community, which had been subdued due to COVID-19, fostering unity among athletes and providing an opportunity to comfort citizens.

A Suncheon City official stated, “In the process of gradually recovering daily life despite the difficulties of COVID-19, we provided a rare opportunity for sports enthusiasts to regain their pride,” adding, “We hope this event will serve as a stepping stone to successfully hosting the 30th Jeonnam Disabled Sports Festival and the 61st Jeonnam Sports Festival and achieving the best results.”
