"It is very meaningful that Kumho Petrochemical Group has continued its customized assistive device support project, which started out of concern for marginalized groups, for 15 years."
On the 9th, Kumho Petrochemical stated that Chairman Park Chan-gu said he will continue the customized assistive device project for people with disabilities this year as well. The project, which began in 2008 to support the daily lives of people with severe disabilities, has been ongoing for 15 years until this year.
This year, assistive devices will be provided to 51 residents at 18 disability residential facilities in the Seoul metropolitan area. The plan is to complete the production of personalized assistive devices by the end of next month. The special wheelchairs provided this time are equipped with polyurethane inner materials that fit perfectly to the bodies of people with disabilities, which is expected to help improve their mobility convenience. The inner refers to a customized posture maintenance device.
Kumho Petrochemical announced that it plans to actively consider switching its social contribution activities, which had been conducted remotely since the second half of last year, back to face-to-face methods. Chairman Park emphasized, "Kumho Petrochemical will continue to demonstrate its commitment to realizing social value."
