Fire Prevention Plan for Bansonghari and Cheonso Villages with Difficult Fire Truck Access
Ulsan Ulso Fire Station's 'Visible Fire Extinguisher' installed in villages where fire truck access is difficult.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kim Yong-woo] We are sending 'mini fire trucks' that reside permanently in villages with narrow roads.
Ulsan Ulju Fire Station installed 'visible fire extinguishers' in Bansonghari Village and Cheonso Village areas of Eonyang-eup, where fire truck access is difficult.
These areas are rural villages with narrow roads, making it difficult for fire trucks to enter. In case of fire, efficient initial response is challenging, raising concerns about property damage and casualties.
Ulju Fire Station plans to respond to initial fires by installing visible fire extinguisher boxes at a total of 15 locations: 7 in Cheonso Village and 8 in Bansonghari Village.
Fire Chief Jeong Ho-young said, "In the early stages of a fire, one fire extinguisher is equivalent to one fire truck," and added, "We will continue not only installing visible fire extinguishers but also fire safety education and promotion, including how to use fire extinguishers."
Visible fire extinguishers are a public fire extinguisher project installed in vulnerable areas such as places where fire truck access is difficult or traditional markets, allowing anyone who witnesses a fire to use them in case of fire.
