Pohang City Holds 'Parents' Day' Ceremony to Foster Intergenerational Harmony I paid a deep bow to my mother and father, who have contributed to regional development, wishing them always good health and happiness.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] On the 6th, Pohang City in Gyeongbuk held the 50th Parents' Day Commemoration Ceremony and Celebration Performance at the Pohang Culture and Arts Center Grand Theater.

This Parents' Day event was held to widely promote the beautiful filial piety in our society and create a space for intergenerational harmony as the COVID-19 pandemic stabilized.

With 400 local elders attending, under the slogan "Number 1 in My Heart, Always Love and Thank You, Parents," the event took time to express gratitude for parental grace and to encourage attention to respecting the elderly.

Commendations were awarded to 29 individuals in four categories: honorable parents who guided their children rightly despite difficult circumstances, filial children who devotedly cared for their elderly parents, contributors to the development of elderly welfare, and recipients of the Longevity Award.
