'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' is a supernatural thriller blockbuster depicting the unprecedented madness of the multiverse, featuring endless dimensional rifts and entangled space-time, the first of its kind in the MCU. It is the sequel to the Doctor Strange solo movie returning after six years.

This is the fastest pace since the pandemic. The film started strong with about 710,000 viewers on its opening day and attracted over 1 million viewers on Children's Day, showing high interest. It is expected to comfortably surpass 2 million viewers this weekend and break the 3 million mark.

The animated film 'Bad Guys' drew 115,427 viewers that day, ranking second at the box office, while 'Detective Butt: The Secret of Souffle Island' attracted 62,536 viewers, placing third.

Additionally, 'I Want to See Your Parents' and 'Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore' gathered around 10,000 to 20,000 viewers each, ranking fourth and fifth respectively.

The total number of theatergoers that day was counted at 1,306,980. Among them, about 1.06 million watched 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.' The release of the new Marvel film appears to have drawn audiences. Furthermore, with the allowance of eating, popcorn sales, and the lifting of social distancing measures, theaters were bustling after a long time.
