[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] DB Insurance announced on the 4th that it has donated 30 million KRW in medical expenses to the Korea Rare and Intractable Disease Association to help patients suffering from rare and intractable diseases.

The medical expenses delivered the day before were raised through a "customer participation donation event," in which DB Insurance customers automatically participated in the donation event by using insurance contract services via the mobile app and website from December 28 last year to January 31 this year.

DB Insurance has provided approximately 400 million KRW in medical expenses to a total of 170 patients over the past 12 years for children suffering from rare and intractable diseases and their families.

In addition to medical expenses, DB Insurance continues support activities such as delivering "Promise Boxes," which contain necessary hygiene products and nutritional supplements, to families of patients struggling due to COVID-19.

A DB Insurance official said, "We plan to continue sustained support and interest for children suffering from rare and intractable diseases and will strive to be a company that fulfills its social responsibilities."
