[Asia Economy Reporter Kwak Min-jae] Home&Shopping announced on the 4th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives to promote the consumption of seafood products and support sales channels for supplying excellent seafood through broadcasting.
This MOU includes mutual cooperation to overcome difficulties in the fisheries industry caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and decreased seafood consumption, focusing on promoting consumption and supporting sales through TV home shopping broadcasts.
Both parties agreed to cooperate on ▲ scheduling and selling selected excellent seafood products on TV home shopping ▲ providing linked support such as live broadcasts beyond support broadcasts, entry into online malls, and product consulting △ preparing products and budget support for broadcast sales.
Meanwhile, the signing ceremony was held on the 3rd at the Home&Shopping headquarters in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, attended by Kim Hyung-rak, Head of SME Support Division at Home&Shopping, and Yang Dong-wook, Executive Director of the National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives.
A Home&Shopping official stated, “Through this agreement, we expect to serve as a channel for opening sales routes for fishermen struggling due to COVID-19 and rising seafood prices, and to provide consumers with opportunities to discover high-quality products.”
