Kwon Seong-dong, the floor leader of the People Power Party, said at the emergency party meeting held in front of the Blue House fountain, "The Geomsu Wanbak law, made by the Democratic Party for the Democratic Party, started with a trick and ended with a loophole," adding, "Although the Democratic Party and President Moon Jae-in may temporarily escape guilt, they cannot be free from the judgment of the people and history." This party meeting was held after the passage of the amendment to the Criminal Procedure Act and the formation plan of the Special Committee on Judicial Reform in the plenary session, with People Power Party members moving to the Blue House to hold the meeting.
Lee Jun-seok, the leader of the People Power Party, criticized, "The background of the regime change on March 9 was to tell them not to carry out such legislative dictatorship," adding, "The People Power Party opposed the High-ranking Officials' Investigation Office, the fast-track process, the adjustment of investigative rights between the prosecution and police, and the three laws related to real estate lease, solely thinking of the people, but the Democratic Party ignored this and pushed forward, destroying the national system and receiving the people's judgment, resulting in the dishonor of regime change after five years." Lee said, "Show that the people's sovereignty lies with the people, not the Democratic Party's cartel, through the people's inherent will to struggle and resist," and added, "We will uphold that will and fight to the end."
