GH, Recruiting Tenants for 16 Customized 'Purchased Rental Housing' Units for Households with Children

[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH) is recruiting tenants for customized purchase rental housing for households with children under 18 years old to stabilize housing for low-income families living with children and adolescents.

The target housing consists of a total of 16 units in two multi-family housing buildings located in Suwon (8 units) and Anyang (8 units), within walking distance to schools and convenient access to facilities such as children's parks and large supermarkets.

Eligibility requirements include being a household member without a home, living with children or adolescents under 18 years old, and having an average urban worker income of 70% or less.

The rental conditions are about 30% of the surrounding market price, and the rental period is initially 2 years, with a maximum stay of up to 20 years.

Tenants who meet the eligibility criteria for the "Green Umbrella Child Foundation Housing Support Project" (such as basic livelihood security recipients and those with less than 70% median income), according to the business agreement signed last year with the Green Umbrella Child Foundation, can receive partial support for the rental deposit (up to 6 million KRW) after screening.

The application period is from the 9th to the 13th of this month, and applications are accepted by mail to prevent COVID-19. Winners will be announced in August this year.

For detailed information regarding the application, please visit the GH website.

GH supplied 8 units each in 2020 and 2021 of purchase rental housing for households with children in Ansan and Bucheon, respectively.
