LED Streetlights and Deck Installed Along 6km Section... Lit Until 10 PM
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kim Chunsu] The ‘Hampyeong Cheonjigil’ is expected to become even more popular as a nighttime resting place for residents and tourists with the installation of landscape lighting.
On the 3rd, according to the county, the project to install nighttime landscape lighting on Hampyeong Cheonjigil to create a safe walking environment for residents has been completed and is currently in pilot operation.
‘Hampyeong Cheonjigil,’ established last year, has been favored by local residents as a premium walking trail, but the lack of nighttime landscape lighting caused significant inconvenience to users.
Accordingly, the county invested 1 billion KRW to ensure pedestrian safety, installing 119 LED streetlights and 182 items including decks along the 6 km section of Hampyeong Cheonjigil.
Through this project, it is expected that user convenience will improve and Hampyeong Cheonjigil will be reborn as another nighttime attraction in the region.
A county official said, “The landscape lighting on Hampyeong Cheonjigil will be turned on from sunset until 10 p.m. We hope visitors enjoy Hampyeong’s nature while strolling under the beautiful moonlight.”
Meanwhile, Hampyeong County has supplemented and maintained existing tourist resources such as Hwayang Neighborhood Park, Ecological Wetlands, and Expo Park to create ‘Hampyeong Cheonjigil,’ a 6 km trail connecting forest paths (2.5 km), ecological paths (2.0 km), and park paths (1.5 km).
