DA Technology Supplies 6.1 Billion KRW Secondary Battery Module Assembly Line

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] DA Technology has acquired comprehensive capabilities encompassing automation equipment for cell, module, and pack manufacturing in the secondary battery equipment sector by supplying an automated secondary battery module line to an automation equipment supplier.

DA Technology (CEO Lee Jongwook), a specialized company in secondary battery and semiconductor equipment, announced on the 3rd that it signed a contract to supply a 'secondary battery module automated assembly line' to a domestic automation equipment supplier. The contract amount is 6.1 billion KRW, accounting for 13.4% of last year's sales.

However, due to the contracting party's confidentiality request, specific details about the contracting party and contract period were not disclosed.

The assembly line supplied by the company is a core facility for assembling secondary battery modules used as power sources for electric vehicles and ESS (Energy Storage Systems). A company official explained, "The modularization work consists of materials necessary for safety and monitoring, such as secondary battery cell electrode connections and temperature measurement, and it is the final stage before completing the pack. It is an essential process equipment used in pack manufacturing by domestic global secondary battery manufacturers, overseas electric vehicle manufacturers, and ESS suppliers."

Lee Jongwook, CEO of DA Technology, stated, "Our company has completed the establishment of a total solution by possessing not only automation equipment for secondary battery cell manufacturing but also the capability to supply automation equipment for cell, module, and pack production. We will leap forward as a leader in the secondary battery manufacturing equipment sector in line with market trends."
