[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, is promoting a forest income public offering project for forestry workers next year.

Hamyang-gun plans to accept applications for the 2023 Forest Income Public Offering Project, implemented by the Korea Forest Service, by the 24th of next month to increase and modernize the infrastructure necessary for the cultivation and production of short-term income forest products and to pursue efficient forestry management.

The Forest Income Public Offering Project can support total project costs, including self-contributions, ranging from 100 million KRW to 700 million KRW. If selected as a project operator, 60% of the total project cost will be supported.

For supported projects, if it is a forest crop production complex creation project, infrastructure necessary for the production of short-term income forest products will be supported, and for forest complex management complex creation projects, overall production infrastructure including forest tending will be supported.

The target applicants are forestry successors, independent foresters, new knowledge forestry workers, and producer organizations with more than two years of experience in cultivating forest products as of the application date.
