Incheon Yeongjong International City 'MuuiLK' Passes Environmental Impact Assessment... Construction to Start Next Year Location map of Muui LK, Muui Solleaire Complex Resort, Yongyu Ocean View Development Project [Provided by Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority]

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority announced on the 3rd that the Muui LK development project underway in Yeongjong International City recently passed the environmental impact assessment conducted by the Hangang River Basin Environmental Office.

It took five years since the environmental impact assessment consultation began in 2017, delayed due to the process of supplementing and negotiating the environmental impact assessment report submitted by the project implementer.

The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority reflected the opinions of the Hangang River Basin Environmental Office and revised the development plan to minimize damage to the natural environment by reducing the development area and planning low-rise, low-density buildings.

The Muui LK development project involves Grand Development Co., Ltd. constructing luxury pool villas, a convention center, condominiums, and more on approximately 1.24 million square meters in the area of San 349-1, Muui-dong, Jung-gu, Incheon. After completing traffic and disaster impact assessments and obtaining implementation plan approval this year, construction is scheduled to begin next year.

Meanwhile, the Muui Solleaire Complex Resort development project, which will create a complex resort with leisure and recreational functions on 440,000 square meters around Silmido Beach in Incheon, will undergo an environmental impact assessment this year.

Additionally, the Yongyu Ocean View development project completed its environmental impact assessment consultation in March and is currently undergoing traffic and disaster impact assessments for implementation plan approval, with construction planned for next year.

This project involves Ocean View Co., Ltd. developing an eco-friendly luxury resort composed of terrace houses and parks on approximately 124,000 square meters in the area of San 70-1, Eulwang-dong, Jung-gu, Incheon.

Lee Won-jae, head of the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority, stated, "We will ensure that the tourism infrastructure in the Yongyu and Muui areas is developed without delay to create synergy with the casino complex resorts around Incheon Airport."
