Mobile Driver's License Briefing for Companies and Institutions on the 11th

On the 3rd, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced that it will hold a 'Mobile Driver's License Briefing Session' for companies and institutions at the Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation Seoul Office on the 11th.
The mobile driver's license, the first mobile ID for the general public, has been issued on a pilot basis since January this year at the Seoul Western and Daejeon Driver's License Examination Offices (including affiliated police stations), and issuance is expected to expand nationwide from July.
At this briefing session, excellent service cases using the mobile driver's license will be introduced, and the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's technical support plans to promote the use of mobile driver's licenses will be explained.
First, cases such as Woori Bank, the first in the financial sector to open accounts after real-name verification using a mobile driver's license, and unmanned vending machines that verify adult status using the mobile driver's license will be introduced. In addition, technical support plans such as operating a development support center to support the use of mobile driver's licenses will be explained, and various opinions from the private sector to activate the use of mobile driver's licenses will be heard.
Lee Sang-min, Director of the Digital Safety Policy Division, said, "We hope that many companies and institutions will participate in this briefing session prepared to support the use of mobile driver's licenses and join us in opening the era of mobile identification cards."
