[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The ‘Health Sharing Volunteer Group Club’ of the Department of Nursing at Gyeongnam Information University held the inaugural ceremony of the 1st Love Danbi Group at the Sasang-gu Dementia Safety Center on the 2nd.
The Health Sharing Club of the Department of Nursing decided to carry out volunteer activities as the Love Danbi Group in cooperation with the Sasang-gu Public Health Center Dementia Safety Center.
The Danbi Group aims to match elderly living alone dementia patients in blind spots of care and Health Sharing students from the KIT Volunteer Group of the Department of Nursing at Gyeongnam Information University to provide emotional and psychological support and to create a dementia-friendly community.
The event was attended by the head of Sasang-gu Public Health Center, Sasang-gu officials, professors of the Department of Nursing at Gyeongnam Information University, and 45 members of the Health Sharing Love Volunteer Group.
Professor Bae Ju-hee of the Department of Nursing said, “The Health Sharing Club of the KIT Volunteer Group of the Department of Nursing at Gyeongnam Information University will actively engage in volunteer work in cooperation with the Sasang-gu Public Health Center to improve the safety and quality of life of dementia patients in blind spots of dementia care.”
