[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Songpa-gu (Mayor Seongsu Park) announced on the 1st that it will operate the Cheonma Neighborhood Park "Healing Forest Program," where residents can enjoy the forest and nature in the city and relax.

Opened in 2018 next to the Songpa Safety Experience Education Center in Macheon-dong, the Cheonma Neighborhood Park Healing Forest covers a total area of 182,420㎡, making it the second largest park in Songpa-gu after Olympic Park. It is also adjacent to the Seongnaecheon section of the Songpa Dulle-gil trail, providing excellent accessibility.

In particular, the park features a variety of trees, an observation deck, a yoga deck, an accessible trail, and a children's forest experience area, making it a beloved spot for residents to take physical and mental rest even within the city.

This year, the district will operate three themed programs at the Cheonma Neighborhood Park Healing Forest.

▲ "Forest of Healing," which relieves stress through five-sense experiences ▲ "Forest of Happiness," which alleviates depression and anxiety to enhance self-esteem ▲ and the children's health program "Hoyeonjigi Forest."

Professional forest healing instructors conduct various activities such as exercise, forest walks, meditation, and massage tailored to different groups including children, office workers, and seniors, providing a healing time for residents exhausted by COVID-19.

The programs will run until November this year, held twice daily from Tuesday to Saturday. Participation can be reserved through the Seoul Public Service Reservation website. To prevent COVID-19, the number of participants per program is limited to 8, and the programs are free of charge.

Seongsu Park, Mayor of Songpa-gu, stated, "The Cheonma Neighborhood Park Healing Forest is a space where people can fully enjoy healing and relaxation while enjoying nature." He added, "We will continue to enhance residents' quality of life through various leisure spaces and programs so that everyone can feel the forest and nature in their daily lives and gain vitality."
