'Piggy Town' Opening in Paju on the 30th
Offering Diverse Culinary Experiences from Various Countries at Large Rooftop Cafe and More
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Lotte Outlet is transforming into a 'playground' to celebrate Family Month and the full-scale reopening period.
Recently, with the lifting of social distancing measures, demand for outdoor activities such as outings and dining has significantly increased. From April 1 to 24, demand related to outdoor activities such as sports, golf, and outdoor gear at Lotte Outlet increased by 30-60% across product categories. In suburban outlets popular with outing groups, food and beverage (F&B) sales nearly doubled compared to the previous year.
From April 29 to June 3, all 21 Lotte Outlet stores will present various content under the theme "THINGS I LOVE," where the whole family can enjoy shopping and leisure together.
Until May 5, the 'LEGO' stores will offer popular products at discounts of up to 20%. On the first floor of Time Villas, a 'LEGO Pop-up Store' will be held until May 8, providing additional gifts such as LEGO pouches, starter packs, and LEGOLAND tickets depending on the purchase amount. Until May 8, customers can enjoy up to 20% additional discounts and participate in a 5% Lotte gift certificate giveaway event at over 40 kids' brands including New Balance Kids, Off Label, Little Ground, and Play Kids Pro.
Events that the whole family can enjoy, including 'Bellygom,' are also prepared. From May 1 to 22, at the lawn plaza of Lotte Premium Outlet Time Villas, customers will be greeted by giant 'Bellygom' exhibits up to 15 meters high. A 'Bellygom Pop-up Store' will also be held, offering goods such as T-shirts, dolls, and phone cases. In collaboration with the non-profit organization TRU, a 'Green Earth Campaign Without Discarded Toys' is underway to raise children's environmental awareness. Through the 'Toy Upcycling Experience' held at six stores, customers can create their own toys from discarded toys and donate broken or unused toys. An event is also held where customers can write their worries in the 'Warmth Mailbox' installed at major outlet stores and receive handwritten letters with warm words of comfort, recharging their emotions.
'Piggy Town,' where visitors can experience cultures and cuisines from various countries around the world in one place, will also open. On April 30, Piggy Town will open on the 3rd floor of Block B and the outdoor garden at Lotte Premium Outlet Paju, featuring seven dining brands including Wang Prize (Chinese), Ddtti Ddtti (Sushi Bar), Normalist (European Handmade Burgers), One Two Three Four (Vietnamese), Ieung Ieung (Korean snacks), and the rooftop caf? 'Piggy in LA.'
Seonghoe Guseong, Head of Lotte Department Store Outlet Business Division, said, "With the full-scale reopening, we are introducing various customer attraction events that we could not hold during COVID-19," adding, "We will continue to strive to make Lotte Outlet a representative landmark in each region where people can enjoy precious time with their loved ones beyond just a shopping mall."
