Transition Team: "Cheongwadae Tours Can Be Reserved from 10 AM on the 27th via KakaoTalk, Naver, and Toss"

[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] The Presidential Transition Committee announced the opening of the Blue House tour application service, stating on the 25th that "applications will be available from 10 a.m. on the 27th through online platforms such as KakaoTalk, Naver, and Toss."

The Blue House will be open starting immediately after the inauguration ceremony of President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol on the 10th of next month, operating from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. until the 22nd of the same month. Tours will be conducted six times every two hours, with 6,500 visitors admitted per session. Applications can be submitted up to 9 days before the tour date, and winners will be notified 8 days prior to the visit.

The Transition Committee initially aimed for a Blue House that could be visited without ID checks, security screenings, or reservations.

However, since internal facility maintenance requires time and concerns about COVID-19 infections persist, only a limited number of visitors will be accepted through reservation applications during the initial opening period. The daily maximum number of visitors will be capped at 39,000.

Applications for Blue House tours can be made by accessing the Blue House opening website and selecting one of the three platforms (KakaoTalk, Naver, Toss), or by applying directly through each platform’s application.

In the case of Naver, applications can also be submitted via the PC website. Confirmation of the tour can be checked through the government’s representative administrative service, ‘National Secretary.’ The Transition Committee stated, "Applications are accepted up to 9 days before the tour date, and winning notifications will be sent 8 days prior."

The Transition Committee has divided the tour groups to allow seniors aged 65 and older and persons with disabilities to enjoy the initial opening benefits, categorizing visitors into individual groups (1?4 people), group tours (30?50 people), and seniors aged 65 and older and persons with disabilities (1?4 people).
