[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] President Moon Jae-in sent a message congratulating Emmanuel Macron, the President of France, on his successful re-election on the 26th.


On the same day, President Moon wrote on social media (SNS), "I sincerely congratulate you on your successful re-election in the French presidential election, and I expect France to continue to develop under your leadership." He added, "As the incumbent French president who succeeded in re-election for the first time in 20 years, it is evaluated that the broad support and encouragement of the French people have been reaffirmed."


President Moon evaluated, "The Republic of Korea and France have overcome difficulties together for over a century, deepening cooperation in various fields such as politics, economy, and culture." He also said, "I am pleased that the comprehensive partnership for the 21st century between the two countries was reaffirmed during my state visit to France in 2018."


President Moon said, "I expect the bilateral relationship to become stronger during your presidential term," and added, "I wish you good health and the endless development of France."
