[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Asiana Airlines announced on the 26th that it has achieved first place in the 'Domestic Airline Sector' for the second consecutive year in the National Customer Satisfaction Index (NCSI) survey conducted by the Korea Productivity Center.
Asiana Airlines was selected as the number one airline in the 'Domestic Airline Sector' at the 2022 NCSI Awards Ceremony held at Lotte Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul. With this, Asiana Airlines has achieved the remarkable feat of winning the 'Domestic Airline Sector' in the NCSI survey, conducted annually since 1998, a total of 22 times.
In this survey, Asiana Airlines was recognized for offering a new travel paradigm by reflecting changing customer needs and trends, such as operating domestic business class ▲ the ASIANA CARE+ integrated quarantine and prevention program ▲ themed concept non-landing sightseeing flight products.
Going forward, Asiana Airlines plans to further enhance customer safety and convenience in response to changes in air travel demand due to the endemic transition through ▲ strengthening quarantine and prevention activities and aircraft safety maintenance ▲ reinforcing ESG management by establishing a dedicated organization ▲ and phased normalization of flight operations.
Jung Sung-kwon, CEO of Asiana Airlines, who attended the awards ceremony, said, "I am deeply moved to achieve first place in customer satisfaction for two consecutive years despite the difficult situation for the entire nation due to COVID-19," and added, "We will do our best to fully resume passenger flights to help our customers who trusted and chose Asiana Airlines return to their daily lives."
Meanwhile, the NCSI survey is a service quality evaluation survey conducted annually by the Korea Productivity Center. For the airline sector, the survey was conducted from January to mid-March 2022 through one-on-one individual interviews targeting adult men and women aged 20 to 59 who used the same airline at least four times one-way within the past year.
