Operation of Digital Experience Zone in the Lobby of the Culture and Arts Center, with Ongoing Education Programs
[Haenam=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyun] Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do, operates a digital experience zone for local residents who have difficulty using smart devices.
According to the county on the 23rd, the experience zone is equipped with booths where visitors can resolve minor digital-related questions that are usually difficult to ask people around them, as well as experience various digital devices.
The experience zone is set up in the lobby of Haenam Culture and Arts Center and will operate until the 18th of next month.
Instructors and supporters are stationed at all times to provide customized consultation services such as how to use smartphones and kiosks, how to install and use the county residents-only app ‘Haenam Sotong Net,’ and digital device experiences.
Even without prior application, visitors can receive customized consultation services and one-on-one education tailored to the educator’s level and needs.
Additionally, those who wish to receive regular digital education can apply for courses via the internet or phone. They can choose from designated digital learning centers within Haenam-gun, including Haenam County Office, Haenam Senior Welfare Center, Haenam Multicultural Center, Samho Hakdang, Haenam Disabled Welfare Center, and Hyonsan-myeon Residents’ Autonomy Center.
If direct application is difficult, inquiries can be made to the Haenam-gun Information and Communication Team, and education details can also be checked through the county office website’s notice section.
County Governor Myeong Hyun-gwan stated, “We will further expand customized education so that the digitally vulnerable can experience tailored consultation services through the digital experience zone, bridging the information gap, and creating a communicating and inclusive Haenam.”
