[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] On Saturday the 23rd, the nation will be mostly clear, but fine dust levels in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province will rise to 'bad' levels.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, as of 8 a.m. that day, temperatures in major areas are Seoul 12.2°C, Incheon 10.3°C, Suwon 12.5°C, Chuncheon 9.8°C, Gangneung 14.7°C, Cheongju 14.4°C, Daejeon 14.2°C, Jeonju 14.2°C, Gwangju 16.7°C, Daegu 17.1°C, Busan 17.1°C, Ulsan 18.1°C, Changwon 15.5°C, Jeju 16.2°C, etc.
The highest daytime temperature will rise up to 28°C. Gwangju 28°C, Seoul, Daejeon, Jeonju 27°C, Suwon, Chuncheon, Daegu 26°C, Incheon, Changwon 22°C, Ulsan, Busan, Jeju 21°C, Yeosu, Pohang 20°C, etc.
Temperatures will be similar to or slightly higher than the average (lowest temperature 5?11°C, highest temperature 18?22°C) for the time being, and the temperature difference between day and night will be very large at 15?20°C, especially inland.
Fine dust concentration is expected to be 'bad' in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province, and 'good' to 'normal' in other regions. In some central areas, fine dust remaining from the previous day has accumulated due to stagnant air, causing somewhat higher concentrations.
Some parts of the southern metropolitan area including Seoul, where a dry weather advisory is in effect, as well as inland Chungcheong Province, Gangwon Province, and North Gyeongsang Province, have very dry air. Fires occur frequently, so caution is needed in managing fire sources such as cigarette butts near forested areas.
Until 9 a.m., dense fog with visibility less than 200 meters is present in northern and eastern Gyeonggi, the western coast of Chungnam, Jeonbuk, and the western coast of Jeonnam. From night, sea fog will again flow into the west coast. Especially on roads adjacent to the west coast, fog is thicker than surrounding areas, so traffic safety should be carefully observed.
Sea waves will be 0.5?1.0 meters in the East Sea coastal waters, 0.5?1.0 meters in the West Sea coastal waters, and 0.5?1.0 meters in the South Sea coastal waters.
On the 24th, from dawn to morning, sea fog will flow into Seoul, Incheon, western Gyeonggi, and the northern west coast of Chungnam, causing drizzle in some areas. Expected precipitation is around 1mm. The lowest temperature on the morning of the 24th is expected to be 9?16°C, and the highest daytime temperature 20?30°C.
