[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] Cheil Worldwide has announced its plan to expand new business opportunities through 'Meta Formation' along with the direction of promoting metaverse and non-fungible token (NFT) related businesses.
On the 21st, Cheil Worldwide stated at a digital business strategy briefing for securities analysts that it will expand new business opportunities through Meta Formation, which goes beyond digital transformation and breaks away from all existing standardized frameworks.
Yoo Jung-geun, CEO of Cheil Worldwide, explained, "We plan to leverage the metaverse era triggered by the impact of COVID-19 as a new business opportunity and promote Meta Formation," adding, "To this end, we have established a metaverse-related organization since last year, and this year, we intend to secure content production capabilities through partnerships or investments with domestic and international metaverse specialized companies."
He also added, "The emergence of new technologies such as metaverse and non-fungible tokens (NFTs) is an opportunity to expand business areas in the advertising industry," "and through Meta Formation that transcends global and digital boundaries, we aim to lead a dimensionally different massive industrial transformation."
The four opportunity areas of Meta Formation mentioned were ▲ virtual production ▲ digital human ▲ virtual space-type metaverse platform ▲ NFT.
