[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Hyun-joo] On the 21st, Lee Jun-seok, leader of the People Power Party, urged Kwon Eun-hee, floor leader of the People Party, to resign from the party. This was to hold her accountable after she expressed support for the 'complete removal of prosecution investigation authority' during a meeting of floor leaders from four parties. If a proportional representative voluntarily leaves the party, they lose their seat in the National Assembly.

At the Supreme Council meeting held that day, Lee said, "A national committee meeting will be held tomorrow to officially finalize the merger between the two parties."

He pointed out, "Before the ink on the agreement between the two parties even dried, Floor Leader Kwon used her position to attend the meeting of floor leaders from the four parties," adding, "Attending the meeting and expressing opinions different from those of the People Power Party amid strong public anger over 'complete removal of prosecution investigation authority' seriously undermines the spirit of the merger."

He continued, "Floor Leader Kwon does not represent the People Party," and said, "If she wants to express her personal beliefs, I hope she resigns from the party and does not participate in the merger."

Regarding the subway morning protest held again that day by the National Solidarity Against Disability Discrimination (Jeonjangyeon), he criticized, "Claiming their demands are right and holding Seoul citizens hostage during their morning commute is once again using uncivilized sit-in tactics as a means."
