[Asia Economy Reporter Yoon Seul-gi] Shin Dong-yup, the MC of MBC's 'Love House' who appeared with Lee Eun-hae, the suspect in the 'Valley Murder' case, recalled the time and expressed his shock.
On the 21st, MBC's current affairs program 'True Story Exploration Team' will track the whereabouts of Lee Eun-hae and her accomplice Jo Hyun-soo, who were arrested as suspects in the Gapyeong valley murder case. It is also reported that phone call recordings between Yoon, the victim and husband of Lee Eun-hae, provided by Yoon's bereaved family, will be revealed for the first time.
In the released broadcast preview, Shin Dong-yup, the MC of 'True Story Exploration Team,' cannot hide his anger while watching scenes highlighting the details of the valley murder case and Lee Eun-hae's childhood.
Previously, Shin Dong-yup met Lee Eun-hae through the entertainment program 'Love House' 20 years ago. Shin recalled his memory of Lee Eun-hae at the time as "a girl who took good care of her physically challenged parents while never losing her smile." 'Love House' was a program that helped improve the living conditions of those facing economic difficulties and aired until 2005.

When Lee Eun-hae appeared on 'Love House,' she showed deep filial piety despite her young age, saying, "I cannot have my own room because I have to store my parents' wheelchair. I share a room with my parents, and I am sorry for my bad sleeping habits."
Lee Eun-hae also expressed her desire to become someone who helps neighbors in need, with the help of Shin Dong-yup and experts. Shin Dong-yup, recalling Lee Eun-hae's childhood, was at a loss for words seeing how much she had changed.
Meanwhile, Lee, who was detained on the previous day (21st), reportedly submitted a handwritten statement denying charges such as attempted murder to the judge during the suspect interrogation (warrant hearing) before detention. It is also reported that she actively denied the charge of attempting to kill Mr. B (39 years old at the time of death) by feeding him food mixed with pufferfish poison at a pension in Yangyang-gun, Gangwon Province, in February 2019, stating that the toxicity was below the lethal dose, resulting in an attempt.
Lee Eun-hae and her accomplice Jo Hyun-soo are accused of forcing Mr. B, Lee Eun-hae's husband who could not swim, to dive into the water at Yongsogye Valley in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi Province, on June 30, 2019, aiming for insurance money, which led to his drowning and death. The police believe that they ignored Mr. B's calls for help after he fell into the water, resulting in murder. The two disappeared ahead of the prosecution's second investigation on December 14 last year and were arrested by the police on the 16th after four months on the run.
