Dongshin University Holds 'Human Resource Development and Technology Development Performance Dissemination Workshop'

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The Dongshin University Local Government-University Cooperation-Based Regional Innovation Project Group held a workshop on integrated human resource development and technology development performance dissemination in the fields of energy new industry promotion, future transportation equipment, and regional community innovation at the Dongshin University Energy Cluster in Bitgaram-dong, Naju-si, Jeollanam-do.

The workshop was held on the 19th with the participation of about 200 people, including public institution officials from Bitgaram Innovation City, companies participating in technology development, prospective entrepreneurs, and Dongshin University students.

Following a special lecture by invited experts, about 40 teams composed of Dongshin University students exhibited and presented prototypes and technologies developed through the project group’s programs, sharing their achievements.

The Dongshin University RIS Project Group operates various human resource development programs such as ▲self-directed employment competency enhancement programs and ▲startup clubs to nurture local talent and promote regional development in the Gwangju-Jeonnam area, leading the Fourth Industrial Revolution era.

In addition, to support startup activation in the Gwangju-Jeonnam region, they run industry-academia-research cooperation programs such as ▲energy new industry technology advancement R&D and ▲energy new industry startup accelerating, striving to build a university-led regional innovation ecosystem.

The project group plans to promote the operation of a high school credit system linked with the Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional Office of Education and high schools, providing various creative convergence education and experiential activities to foster excellent startup talents.

Lee Dong-hwi, head of the Dongshin University RIS Project Division, said, “We will actively support various education and startup items so that youth and prospective entrepreneurs in the Gwangju-Jeonnam region can grow into innovative talents and nurture star companies.”
