Mesh Korea (CEO Jeongbeom Yoo), the operator of VROONG, an IT-based comprehensive distribution logistics brand, announced on the 19th that it will strategically collaborate with Medibuddy (CEO Hyunjung Lim), a telemedicine platform, for quick commerce delivery of COVID-19 self-test kits.

Medibuddy is developing a prescription refill system utilizing telemedicine services that involve pharmacy visits. Currently, to reduce inquiry calls from consumers checking the stock of COVID-19 self-test kits at pharmacies and to enable faster receipt of test kits, it is providing a ‘Find COVID-19 Self-Test Kits at Nearby Pharmacies’ service. By selecting 'COVID-19 Self-Test Kit' through the Medibuddy mobile app, users can check real-time inventory of self-test kits at each pharmacy, and upon ordering, VROONG is responsible for quick commerce delivery within 30 minutes.

Mesh Korea plans to leverage VROONG’s big data and AI (artificial intelligence) operational capabilities and IT competitiveness to respond to the full-fledged era of non-face-to-face medical care, and will also discuss digital innovation plans for distribution logistics in the medical industry with Medibuddy. In particular, together with Medibuddy, they will emphasize safe medication management by pharmacists and discuss safe services optimized for pharmaceuticals. Through this, they intend to continuously devise measures to ensure no regions are excluded from the benefits of telemedicine.

Medibuddy, a telemedicine platform established by pharmacists, provides a one-stop service for consultation, prescription, and medication dispensing through its mobile app. It is recognized for offering a new telemedicine experience by enabling patients with chronic diseases such as hypertension and diabetes, as well as those needing post-coital contraceptives and antibiotic prescriptions, to quickly receive medications through pharmacies. By selecting specialists matching symptoms and medical departments via the app, patients can have telemedicine consultations and prescriptions at their preferred time and place, then visit their chosen pharmacy to consult with pharmacists and receive prescribed medications.

Beyond the food and beverage (F&B) industry, Mesh Korea, which provides integrated services including dawn delivery, fulfillment, quick commerce, and IT logistics consulting across commerce sectors such as fashion accessories and daily necessities, has secured competitiveness to respond to the non-face-to-face medical era. By establishing an integrated delivery system combining two- and four-wheeled delivery vehicles and building a quick commerce delivery process incorporating big data, it plans to contribute to creating a pharmaceutical logistics ecosystem that guarantees safety and transparency.

Choi Byungjun, head of Mesh Korea’s domestic business division, said, “We will expand VROONG’s data-based quick commerce logistics service into a dedicated solution and platform capable of responding to the non-face-to-face telemedicine era,” adding, “Beyond business value, we aim to realize a service that pursues both innovation and public interest so that patients in medical blind spots can benefit.”
