[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yeo Jong-gu] Yeongcheon City, Gyeongbuk, has created a 'Regulation Improvement Report Postcard' to propose improvements for inconveniences experienced by citizens in their daily lives due to regulations.


This postcard was made to actively reflect even small difficulties in city administration by listening to the voices of residents.


The postcards will be placed at administrative welfare centers in eup, myeon, and dong areas frequently visited by residents, the city hall civil service office, Yeongcheon Station, and Yeongcheon Bus Terminal. Yeongcheon City plans to distribute them to local businesses, small merchants, and various organizations to gather diverse opinions.


The report postcard consists of sections on the current status and problems caused by unreasonable regulations, as well as suggestions for improvement. Citizens can write their proposals and drop them into the nearest mailbox, which will be sent to Yeongcheon City's regulation reform department.


The received postcards will be reviewed in consultation with related departments to seek solutions, and matters requiring legal improvements will be proposed to central government ministries for enhancement.


A Yeongcheon City official stated, “We will do our best to resolve residents' inconveniences and lower regulatory barriers through the Regulation Improvement Report Postcard.”
