[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Juhyung] Logan (real name Kim Junyoung), who illegally entered Ukraine together with former Navy Special Warfare Group captain and YouTuber Lee Geun, expressed his apology after returning to Korea. He, also a former Navy Special Warfare Group member like Lee, became known to the public through his appearance on the web entertainment program 'Fake Men 2.'
On the 18th, Logan wrote on his Instagram account, "I bow my head and apologize for causing great controversy to the nation and society due to my actions," adding, "As recently reported in the media, I knew that entering Ukraine without permission was prohibited, but I entered Ukraine together with Captain Lee Geun."
Earlier, Lee was reported to have expressed his intention to join the International Volunteer Army of Ukraine on the 6th of last month and illegally entered the country with two colleagues, including Logan.
Currently, the government has issued a 'Travel Alert Level 4,' banning civilian travel throughout Ukraine, but Lee and his colleagues reportedly proceeded with their departure without approval from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Regarding this, Logan explained, "I stayed in Ukraine from March 6 to 14 and returned on March 16 because my father was scheduled for cancer surgery on the 18th," adding, "I have since cooperated sincerely with the police investigation and am currently awaiting the prosecutor's decision."
He admitted, "Despite being a well-known person to many, I did not act cautiously, and especially as someone who has a family to protect, I did something I should not have done."
He emphasized, "I will humbly accept all advice and criticism given to me and will also reflect on how I can become a more mature person."
Meanwhile, Lee is currently known to remain in Ukraine, actively participating as a member of the International Volunteer Army.
On the 30th of last month, he posted on his Instagram, stating, "I formed a special operations team by gathering foreign agents with real combat experience from countries such as the United States and the United Kingdom," and added, "My team has carried out several confidential missions, but I ask that you refrain from speculating about the specific timing or locations of these missions."
